Fun & Creativity
Art
At Little Foxes, art is all about exploring, creating, and having fun! Children are given opportunities to express themselves through a variety of hands-on activities, including painting, drawing, coloring, cutting, gluing, sensory art, process art, and seasonal and themed projects.
Art helps children develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, creativity, problem-solving, and confidence while encouraging them to make choices and express their own ideas.
More than creating a finished product, we focus on the process of exploring materials, trying new things, and celebrating each child's unique creativity.
Through art, children learn that there is no single "right" way to create—their imagination is the most important part!

Language
At Little Foxes, language learning happens all throughout the day! Children build communication skills through conversations, stories, songs, rhymes, group discussions, dramatic play, name recognition, new vocabulary, and plenty of opportunities to talk and listen.
Teachers intentionally engage children in meaningful conversations and encourage them to share their thoughts, ideas, questions, and feelings.
Language experiences help children develop vocabulary, communication skills, listening and comprehension, confidence, and early literacy skills. Reading stories and exploring sounds, letters, and words also helps prepare children for future reading and writing.
Most importantly, we create an environment where children feel heard, encouraged, and excited to communicate, helping them discover the power of their words from an early age.
Music
Music is a fun and meaningful part of everyday learning at Little Foxes! Children are encouraged to explore music through singing, dancing, movement, rhythm activities, instruments, musical games, and a variety of songs and sounds.
We incorporate music into our daily routines, classroom activities, and special themes throughout the year.
Music supports language development, listening skills, memory, coordination, self-expression, and social-emotional development. Singing and learning new songs helps build vocabulary and communication skills, while dancing and keeping a beat encourage body awareness and coordination.
Most importantly, music gives children a joyful way to move, connect, express themselves, and learn together!
Mathematics
At Little Foxes, children discover that math is all around them! Through hands-on activities, games, puzzles, sorting, counting, measuring, building, patterns, and everyday classroom routines, children are introduced to early mathematical concepts in ways that are fun and meaningful.
Our activities help children develop number recognition, counting skills, sorting and classification, patterns, shapes, spatial awareness, measurement, and early problem-solving skills.
Children are encouraged to explore, make predictions, compare, and discover solutions through play and everyday experiences.
By making math part of their daily lives, we help children develop confidence, curiosity, and a strong foundation for future mathematical thinking—one playful discovery at a time!
Movement
At Little Foxes, we believe children need plenty of opportunities to move, explore, and be active! Our movement activities include dancing, stretching, obstacle courses, balance activities, gross motor games, yoga, outdoor play, and age-appropriate activities that encourage children to use their whole bodies.
Movement helps children develop strength, balance, coordination, body awareness, and gross motor skills while also supporting healthy physical development. Active play gives children opportunities to practice following directions, building confidence, taking turns, and working together with their friends.
Whether they're dancing to their favorite song, running outside, or navigating an obstacle course, children are learning through movement, play, and exploration every day!
Outside Play
At Little Foxes, outdoor play is an important part of every child's day. Children have opportunities to run, climb, jump, balance, explore nature, play games, use playground equipment, and enjoy open-ended outdoor experiences with their friends.
We also incorporate seasonal activities that allow children to experience and learn from the world around them.
Outdoor play supports gross motor development, coordination, balance, strength, confidence, and overall physical well-being.
It also encourages children to use their imagination, practice social skills, solve problems, and develop an appreciation for nature and their environment.
Whether we're running through the grass, digging in the dirt, exploring the changing seasons, or creating our own games, outdoor play gives children the freedom to move, explore, discover, and learn through play!
